What’s really stopping you?
Think about one thing you could do to improve your health. Is it more walking? Or more running? What about eating more vegetables? Or less processed food? Think of the one thing that you know could really improve your health.
Now, think about the impact that change would have on your life? Would you feel better? Would you be happier? Would it give you the confidence to do more? What would happen?
Sit in that feeling. Take it in. Enjoy it even. And then ask yourself this: If this one thing could make a difference in my everyday life, why aren’t I doing it?
That’s a hard question for most of us. We’re accustomed to citing lack of money, lack of time or even lack of education as our excuse. But you know those aren’t it. You could make time. You could find the money. And you can Google almost anything. So, what it is? What’s stopping you from living your best life?
I’m pushing you because I’ve been doing this long enough to know it’s something else. And until you figure out what that something else is, you’ll never figure out how to walk more regularly, eat more vegetables or drink more water. Sure. You’ll go through the motions for a bit, but it won’t become routine. You’ll eventually fall off. And that sucks.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. You can reach your health goals. You just have to dig in and do the work – as uncomfortable as it can be at times. So, make some space and ask yourself, why am I not executing on the one thing that can improve my life?
If you need help figuring out that answer, let’s talk. You deserve to be healthy and happy. And I want to get there, if you want to get there.
